Blog profits
Just had an idea on how to improve traffic to my free e-book blog @ http://makeclickbanksales.blogspot.com
visit money making forums with visitors that are looking for reviews on the products I am offering free downloads on and basically give them the link to my blog, sounds simple but more hits hopefully offers more adsense income.
I'm very interested in adsense as a lot of "gurus" say they can gain $100 cheques monthly from adsense on blogs and I've made only $2.99 from March '09 to September '09, very poor. The problem I have though is that I've only used it on sales pages which can detract from sales on that particular site and at best make you $1 adsense income. 1st rule of sales pages...do NOTHING that will take visitors away from your site. Offer NOTHING to distract them from making a purchase.
Anyway I'm hoping to get my blogs ultra popular, which I believe they should be as they offer something I haven't seen elsewhere, which is unbiased, non-sales related advice. When my blog is ultra popular they should generate adsense profits without detracting from sales on my other sales pages.

Back again
Hi everyone, I'm back again. Visit my new blog @ http://makingclickbanksales for tips on increasing sales and links to free online e-books to get you on your way.
The new blog and this blog will be updated daily whenever possible going forward.
New tip for newbie affiliate marketers...getting on e-mail lists isn't all bad, you can pick up a lot of good tips and free e-book links from reading these. I would suggest though that you don't use your main e-mail address, set something up with someone like gmail.com so you're not overloaded with "spam".
Most e-book publishers will get you to sign-up for their e-mail list before even letting you see the sales page, can be useful to get away from sending these all to your "aol" address, believe me, I made this mistake!
Seriously get on my new blog too, very good e-book on there free download http://MakeClickbankSales.blogspot.com

Making more dough!
Hi if anyone's reading. Just a few updates to let you know of, making around $100 a week now, basically adding reviews to forum pages with clickbank links embedded.....
Until now I've been searching for forums on google only until today that is, just read an article that suggests using other search engines should be easier to get high pagerank (basically the search engines rating of your site). Been trying MSN and about to try Yahoo, so we'll see how this goes.
Also I'm now registered with www.dmozonline.com..... about 3 months after I requested a link! Apparently being on their list is very favourable to my Google pagerank and does appear to be the case as I've had a 71% increase in direct referrals to my site and almost doubling my commission from the $50 a week I was earning. I highly recommended getting on Dmoz even if it takes a while.
P.S. I no longer use traffic exchanged bar http://hitsboosterpro.com just skews my stats and never seem to make any significant increase in sales. Just use hitsboosterpro as very easy to get quick hits...you never know might get a sale every now and then, worth 2 hours a week for around 100-200 random hits

Adsense
Just a switch of focus away from Twittering....How on earth do you make big profits from Adsense? I've had my account running for 3 months and made less than $4? Admittedly this has marginally improved since adding to my main account but still incredibly poor. Any hints on making more please let me know!
Hitting a brick wall with making money from Twitter, think I need a niche and better profile....
Also seriously considering purchasing http://lobbslobb.billcrosby.hop.clickbank.net looks like a fantastic product but my Paypal account won't allow me to make instant transfer payments at the moment and I have no credit card....I'm on to sorting this out though and I'll let you all know how the product works....

Twitter feeding
Hopefully I have this blog auto-fed to my Twitter account now using http://twitterfeed.com! Easy to use step-by-step instructions, takes a while to set up tho! If you want a feed to use search google or if you want to feed your own blogger blog to your twitter the RSS address is found on your blog page, go down to subscribe to then right-click the link and copy the shortcut to your twitterfeed RSS feeder. Any twitter followers reading this, follow my link for a beginners guide to Clickbank profits. Free of charge!
Had another cheque through the post for $76 today, Clickbank appear to be very regular payers, each cheque arrives either 6 or 7 days from the day the cheque is issues, not bad for US to UK post.

Twitterage
Hey! I'm number 5 most followed on Twitter for Cornwall in the UK, just by using http://tweetergetter.com/simon_lobb and sticking it on traffic exchanges....nice! Just need to build my profile on there to start selling stuff, should really stick an RSS feed to auto tweet this site...think I'll set that up tonight! Follow me http://twitter.com/simon_lobb.
Also using a sneaky trick on http://hitsboosterpro.com to get massively better click through rate (CTR) to my registry fix site. I'll add a how to when I get round to it....

Twitter followers
Forgot to say on my last post, I'm now up to 971 followers on twitter without the twitter traffic machine by using http://tweetergetter.com/simon_lobb and I'm up to number 8 on http://twitterholic.com for the amount of followers for my area. This should come in useful when I've worked out a strategy for marketing myself and products via Twitter. For the moment just concentrating on being myself on there so as not to appear as some marketing guru, for the time being that is....
More sales - Google Translation tool
I made another 2 sales from Registry Fix last night at my site http://registryfixer.weebly.com. The new entry page really seems to work.
Also I've added another useful tool, the google translation tool, which translates your content to several different languages at the click of a button. Must work as I had another international sale last night, only my 2nd to non-english speaking countries in 3 months within 1 day of adding this tool.
Also another of my click bank related pages http://swineflu.synthasite.com should hopefully make a first sale soon due to swine flu going pandemic, need to start blogging on this or adding posts to news forums, wish me luck!

Yay 2 sales and updated my site http://registryfixer.weebly.com should start rolling in again now, lol

No sales...boooo
No sales for almost 2 weeks! No idea why, just a barren spell I guess. Had loads of visitors and have changed product to Registry Easy as their affiliate program allows "deep links" which means it's nigh on impossible for people to steal commissions by changing the hoplink. Need to get one of these from RegistryFix I think!
Had my 2nd cheque in the post though for $222 and the next one has been finalised for $78, none left now though! However because I've had 3 cheques in 12 weeks I can set up direct payment, yay no more £6 charges from Nationwide!

Lots of Twitter followers FREE
Honestly, this is what I've been looking for, added over 100 followers in 2 DAYS on autopilot. The secret is to advertise this link http://tweetergetter.com/simon_lobb on a free traffic exchange, my favourites are http://www.hitsboosterpro.com/?rid=11035 for loads of traffic or http://www.trafficswarm.com/go.cgi?928467 for more targeted traffic. (Beware the anti-cheat tests while surfing!)

Auto-pilot cash!!
Hi, I've been away for 7 days getting married, came back and guess what, I've made $109 in a week with 100% no internet access, still getting 20 hits/day to my main site.
Fantastic, easy redisual income is possible, just short of $500 dollars now in less than $60 days!
What to do now? Thinking of a low priced affiliate guide to sell on ClickBank and also using a traffic exchange to sell someone elses ClickBank affiliate programs. Easy bucks with quick work hopefully. Busy for a few days but watch this space!

Cheque please...
Got my first Clickbank cheque through for $183 dollars!! I think this is around £110-120 sterling. Not too bad for 6 weeks work (about an hour a day) with absolutely no outlay. Hopefully this will increase with time.
I'll put up a photo on my other site http://wiimedia.weebly.com for all those non belivers, lol.
Apparently it will cost £12 to cash the cheque through Nationwide but clears instantly.
nb. on the previous blog I added a link that said "1000 followers" for twitter, it was meant to say mass follow 1000 people, but I have gained 256 follows in return for this although only a disappointing 2 clickthroughs to my main site from this. Bizzarely 25 vistors to a hoplink I added? Need to investigate promoting this hoplink more I think!

Twittering
Hi all, my hits have gone to around 45/day on my main site so kind of healthy. I'm going to try Twitter now to advertise everything I do on ClickBank. Really seems a great way to get active listeners but means I'll have to come up with new content everyday!
Need Twitter followers....
I found this site which gives you 1000 followers for free----may not be targeted but visitors is vistors...
http://www.vipepower.com/cms/index.php?page=twitter-kickstart-program
also try http://twiveaway.com this drives followers by offering free e-books for twitterers that agree to follow you.
Let's see how this goes, update soon!

Making money!!! Whoop whoop
I made 4 sales in 3 days, 3 today alone. I have to admit this now, I've done nothing to promote my site for the last week....except....setting up a new site http://freestuffexposed.synthasite.com ---- promoted this on a handful of forums and placed a couple more comments on some "slow browser" forums to promote my other site http://registryfixer.weebly.com
I really feel like I'm getting somewhere now, have noticed from my Google analytics accounts that almost 40% of my traffic is coming from one source, unfortunately I can't reveal this as someone could copy me & kill my profits dead, lol. However what I can say is, forum commenting makes money, fact.
Also take a look at http://www.trafficswarm.com/go.cgi?928467 it offers free links and really works, no b.s. 100% free links, I don't even make money from this link but if you click on it I get more free hits. This isn't the only reason I've put this up 'cos I've made 150 free hits in 15 mins anyway. Not fantastically targeted but useful all the same.
On to stage 2 of my affiliate marketing masterplan!!

I'm working on it....
Hey all, as the title says I'm getting down to business working on adding links to forums, obviously only adding relevant comments to relevant sites.
I'll be updating the stats from Fri - Sun to let you know how this goes for the first week.
Also I've put up a new site to promote http://freestuffexposed.synthasite.com so I'll be promoting that in the near future to see how this goes.

Marketing update
Hi! I've basically worked out what I'm going to track
1.) Number of visitors showing on google.com/analytics
2.) number of pageviews showing on weebly
3.) source of visitors showing on google.com/analytics
4.) number of clickthroughs showing on clickbank
5.) optimistically.....number of sales on clickbank
I've made a head start, starting to promote on forums for an hour this evening. Will start tracking stats from Friday next week, let's see how this all goes!!

Affiliate marketing - testing different methods
To follow my previous blog...
1.) creating a Clickbank account, very simple, just go to www.clickbank.com enter your details and you're away.
2.) create free website, I used www.weebly.com with this service you can set up 2 free sites which are very good for information only sites, simple to set up and no HTML skills needed (although helpful for embedding certain tracking codes/analytics etc.).
Get started by picking a product from Clickbank marketplace (at the top of the screen www.clickbank.com). To start you should choose a product with a reasonably high gravity (shows that she product sells or no-one else would market it!), something you either know a bit about or have a background in or even something very simple to sell (like free money!) would be a good place to start.
To make decent money lots of people say to pick a "niche" that no-one else is selling, while this may be true these "niches" can be a lot harder to find a market for so I personally started with something that would sell easily. The first sale will motivate you a lot, the sooner it comes the higher the motivation.
3.) Promote your site/product - I say product as you can do this by just by marketing your "hoplink" but you may find it difficult to get an ongoing income without a permanent base on the web.
I aim to test several promotion methods over a 7-day period per method, gaining analytics from the following week (giving 7-days for methods to take effect) and giving my results on this blog!
a.) posting to relevant forum questions (adding a link to your site either in the body of text or signature.
b.) link gaining
c.) search engine submission.
d.) search engine optimisation
e.) search engine submission post s.e.o.
f.) pay-per-click program - not sure if I will try this as goes against my original plans of spending any of my own money, however if I make significant amounts from a.) to e.) I may use this to see if this improves traffic levels and if so how much.
For each method I intend to record the analytics by using Google (www.google.com/analytics), this is a free service from Google, you need to register and imbed the HTML code into your site, this then records number of unique vistors, geographic location, source of referral and other detailed statistics such as time on page (seems inaccurate when I have used this) and number of pages visited.
I also aim to use www.clicktale.com another free service which again when embedded will give statistics on your site and an additional bonus of actually recording what your vistors get up to when on your site, will record 100 visits per week and shows exactly what the vistors click on, how long they stay and their journey through your site until they leave.
Finally I will note the vistor stats provided automatically from www.weebly.com and probably the most important of all, the number of people that actually click through from you site to your Clickbank hoplink.
This is recorded on www.clickbank.com under my account, reporting tab, then analytics, you can set the dates you want stats on under affiliate reporting, it will show how many visitors have clicked (and hopefully purchased!) from your hoplinks for the given period.
Because of the time it will take me to set up accurate recordings, and embedding of Clicktale and Google.com/analytics HTML source code I aim to start recordings Friday 24th to Friday 1st May. In the meantime I will decide exactly what stats I will record on a weekly basis. To make the reporting accurate and balanced I will spend 2 hours/night on each method of promotion.

7 steps to success...hopefully
My business plan will follow these 7 steps, all the while I aim to update this blog on a daily/bi-weekly basis to show my progress. So far I have reached stage 3 to 4. I have an idea for stage 6 but I will NOT move to this stage until I can prove myself by completing stage 1-5 to an acceptable level.
1.) Set up Clickbank account
2.) Set up free website to market product(s) from Clickbank marketplace
3.) Test different promotion methods to find the most effective (by conversion/cost/traffic)
4.) Maintain steady level of income
5.) Retain income with little to no further promotion
6.) Produce my own Clickbank product
7.) Sell my Clickbank product

Get rich slowly
Anyone else read those testimonials about how some poor bankrupt guy with 3 kids a wife and $10m dollars of credit card bills instantly became a millionaire thanks to online marketing? Of course you have...but how easy it to copy them? Well I thought I'd give it a try....
My only rules when attempting this are:-
1.) Do not spend a single dollar out of my own pocket
2.) Do not use methods that I consider immoral/illegal
Follow my attempts and step-by-step guide right here.
I have been using Clickbank to select my products as they have a huge database of products to promote and Weebly.com to build my websites, because Weebly is 100% free for the first 2 sites you build.
During the first 3.5 weeks I have made $207 from affiliate marketing, well at this rate I'll be a millionaire at some point in the year 2380....hmmm think I need to up my game.
If anyone can help, please contact me @ lobbslobb@aol.com or use my contact form at http://wiimedia.weebly.com/
Thus far I have mainly been promoting 2 products, Registry Fix and Wii Media and I've only made sales from the registry cleaner so far, however I have been promoting Wii media by getting as many links as possible in the last 2-3 days and submitting to search engines so hopefully should have some upturn in traffic in the very near future.
I have also been promoting a wine-making e-book, hypnosis e-book, 2 other registry cleaners, commission blueprint (a money making e-book), quick income blueprint, peoplefinder, survey site, fuel to water conversion e-book, shed building e-book and a weight loss program, receiving (according to ClickBank) a total of 375 click throughs in the last 30 days, again not really good enough....
Just a couple of questions to other affiliate marketers out there...
1.) Do instant re-direct pages to the ClickBank product page provide many sales or is it better to write up a review yourself?
2.) Are framed links to the product profitable or again is it better to do a write up?
3.) Which is the single most profitable method of marketing? Link gaining, article writing, blogging, commenting on blogs or adwords? Please let me know...
Thanks and that's all for now, don't forget to visit my sites
